Biography

Rafael Gómez Carrasco is born in Almonaster La Real, Huelva (Spain), on March 19 of 1.958, moving to Alcoy's city (Alicante) in the year 1.972, where it is initiated in the painting, firstly in the school of "Fine Arts" and later at the study that for that moment Vicente Cerdá (Artistic Creations Cerdá) had, where he mets with the best painters of the moment of the region.

He started painting as is logical, Still life, figures and enclosedly portraits, but
soon he prefered the landscape, topics that him were filling with satisfaction.

From these moments he decides to paint of the native, because he travels often to The Pyrenees and The Alps, to paint his favorite topic... The mountains.

He is a painter self-taught with influences of the best Spanish landscape painters of the moment, with a color and a very personal skill, developed in work, of witness and investigation, with the skill, the color and the forms.

Both the oleo and the acrylic, dominates and works, skill with that paints, portraits and urban topics, inside the movement called "Pop-Art".
